I am currently a senior in college, and right now, I am planning to get a masters degree in Economics next year. However, I have just learned about an interesting program called Teach for America (teachforamerica.org). I understand that most schools require 3-4 yrs of work experience. I am interesting in TFA, and I am going to apply. Would this work experience be "wasted" in the eyes of an ultra elite or elite MBA program? Over the summers and school breaks, I have been a substitute teacher at a few high schools in my state.
