I'm currently in a strategy verticle at an energy company. I have the opportunity to keep to strategy or change my title and work to be geared towards product management. Is there one title schools would prefer over the other?

I’m not sure the change for purely a title. It would be great if there is some kind of a upward momentum or perhaps consistency if there’s no momentum.
Ideally you would show that you’re getting promoted or recognized for your effort and contribution. That would be ideal case.
In the case it’s a lateral move, how would it look on your resume? Does it build up to your story and support it or does it contradict your past and shows that you are jumping from place to place.
If it does neither, only then the title matters and the sexier the better. Again, hoping it is like a semi-promotion or perhaps aligning of your interests. For example, if you want to go into tech then you want the p.m. title but if you want to go into consulting, then strategy is better.
However, title is not everything and a big part of it will be the description under it with your bullets....

Remember that admissions are based upon two things:
1) What the program can do for your career trajectory
2) What you will bring to the program and your classmates as a unique member of the class of that year.
The key question isn't the job title but the grit behind it. How does it contribute to your personal brand as a potential incoming member of the MBA class? Building your profile for applications requires thinking of your ability to bring a unique contribution to the program.
