Total cost = 550$
Fixed daily rate = $50
Rented for 5 days = $50*5 = 250$
The variable cost/the cost for mileage = 550-250 = 300$
The rental company charged 300$ for 600 miles.
1$ for 2 miles.
50 cents for 1 miles.

total of $550 for the rental ==> Price for total mileage = $550 - $250 = $300
Now:
600 miles ------$300
1 mle ----------300/600 = 50 cents
