St 1 : We only know that salary in March is less than $4200. Not sufficient

A and D out.

St 2 : We only know the raise in April. We also need to know the salary of March to calculate the %age change.

B is out. Not sufficient

Combining 1 and 2 we know that raise is less than 20% even if the salary is $4200. Sufficient

(C)

I) only salary is given no info abt hike
Insufficient

II)hike is given but no salary
Insufficient

Combining both
If we take 4200 then 20 percent refers to amount of 840
But it is 910 and salary is less than 4200
So surely hike is more than 20 percent

(C)

raise is more than 20% after combining both the statements.
