If Steve took 6 hrs too, Bill and Steve together would take 3 hrs. Then all three together would take 1/3 + 1/15 = 6/15 i.e. 15/6 hrs = 2 hrs 30 min
If Steve took 15 hrs too, John an dSteve together would take 15/2 hrs. Then all three together would take 1/6 + 2/15 = 9/30 i.e. 30/9 hrs = 3 hrs 20 mins
Since Steve takes more than 6 hrs but less than 15 hrs, all three will take time lying within this range.
