When you say “this option” and “this program” - what do you mean by it? Which program is it?

Will the scholarship chances at any bschool get affected if I apply through join a school in france option instead of directly applying to the bschool? Also is there any difference between R1 and R2 in terms of getting a scholarship at these schools?

SAI application has no drawback or as mentioned such.
You can choose join a school in France - sai application way to apply to school or can directly apply, there is no such difference.
But there are only 5 schools that take Sai application format. So keep that in mind.
Regarding scholarships.
Eiffle scholarship is available to R1 applicants only.
R2 will be having other scholarships offered from school directly.
Hope this helps.

Maybe this was implied but just to confirm, if I go ahead with this common application, I will still be eligible for all scholarships that would have been available to me had I applied to these colleges separately, right?

Yes, that's correct.
