sad to see your score. I think being international student or not is irrelevant in terms of gmat since it is reading and reasoning and grammar rules and not speaking skills.Obviously you need to boost your Verbal this time around - you might need an overhaul on verbal. You could try knewton for the 50 guarantee if you feel you might be satisfied with 50 points more. You also need to check you error logs on Quant so you can get few points higher. It really sucks that they wont send people back the questions and what they got wrong on. If they change the questions every month then it should be OK to send back the problems a month later no?

Definetly true, they should let us know...

One of my friends told me that the LSATs offered during summer are harder than the LSATs offered in the fall and winter. I am assuming in an attempt to weed out the weaker candidates. Do you think the same holds for the GMAT?

Does time play a factor in your overal score? I didn't run out of time, but i finished both section i would say with max 5 minutes combined.

I am rescheduling round 2 for Sep 17th...hopefully we will get a better score than a 25 in Verbal... =)

well since the test is adaptive and there's a pool the questions come from - if you are weak at geometry even a mid level might be difficult, plus if you do enough questions you should pretty much know what kind of questions you will expect. For me, i am convinced i got a 49 in quant because of a weird question i saw that i would not have been able to prepare for otherwise I really believed i couldve gotten a 50. Anyway, time plays a factor only if you didnt finish since you get subtracted a point per question unanswered, if you have extra time it wont benefit you in any way (besides leaving early).

sep 17 is almost 3 months away so you definitely have time to explore your options on whether you believe you can get your verbal up by self studying or need some tutoring/lessons etc.

Hey guys, my date with this lade named GMAT is in about 3 weeks. I have improved a lot since I started studying for the GMAT. 510 Diagnostic. My CATs now are 650-670. Verbal is still holding me back however. I have read the MGMAT SC and RC books and I am still having issues. I have exhausted all the problems in the OG and on Kaplan's site...Any Suggestions?

One suggestion that can improve your score by 50 points.(this 50 pts guarantee is not from KNewton but from me-KEinstein  )
Go through OG for two more times...especially CR and SC...your confi will spike up. All the best...i'm also giving retake in 2-3 months...i ll do the same...wishes for your gmat success.

You can give me KUDOS for this vital gmat-saver suggestion. ;) :p

so i took the test again today after doing well on my practice tests. The past 10 CATs that I have taken have all been 650+. The highest score I received was a 730 via MGMAT. I wasn't holding my breath for a 730, however, I took GMAT prep test #2, 2 days ago, and received a 690. Needless to say, I felt confident taking the test today.

After I hit submit, I was shocked to find out I received a 600. Q48/V25! I have no idea what in the world happened. When I received my 580 Q45/V25, my practice test scores were in the 580-610 range. This time my range was 650-730. I only studied verbal for the past 3 months and I have no idea what happened. Any insight?
