Hi everyone,
Looking for some help and tips here.
Background: Im just about to graduate from industrial engineering undergrad from a top 5 university in Latin America. My program is the most prestigious in the country but due to lack of motivation at some point I ended up with a 3.0/4 GPA.
However, I was able to succesfully land a job at Boston Consulting Group.
Thinking into the future, I realize my low gpa will hurt my B-School chances. I also know that my BCG work experience will help me.
I wanted to know what tips you have for me for the next 4-5 years in order to strengthen my chances of getting into a top MBA program.
Additionally, I practiced a lot of GMAT due to the fact that a lot of the companies I was interviewing with had GMAT-like tests as their first filter and I was very good at quant but not very good at verbal. How would you recommend I go about strengthening my verbal score in the coming years? Reading a lot books? Or just straight up practicing verbal questions periodically?
Any tips you have are greatly appreciated! I know Im fighting an uphill battle but im optimistic that if I plan out a clear road map I will increase my chances significantly, thank you for your time!!
Edit:
Just for reference:
- I am latin american with lebanese descent.
-Ex-military (1 year experience)
