I did a few weeks of research after deciding that getting an MBA was smart and worth the effort, I have decided to go with the GMAXonline classes. I paid the $399 and have so far completed the diagnostic test they provide. Hopefully this will be used by future students who are considering their services (or not). Three reasons I decided to go with GMAX:
1. Good reviews, and good preview videos on YouTube.
2. I'm Jewish and will hopefully go to business school in Israel and work in Israel.
3. Since I want to go into technology management, there couldn't be anything more fitting for me than an online class at 1/3 cost that promises to give better results.
Anyways, hopefully I will stick around here and ask and answer questions.
My first diagnostic test:
620
Quantitative = 40
Verbal = 36
Not pissed off about it, which is a good start. Wish me luck.
Since i'm in the spotlight, is anyone here applying to Israeli business schools? Which ones? I'm thinking about IDC and the Technion.[/img]

I took my midterm exam with Gmax a couple weeks ago and got only a 570, down from 620. Pretty upsetting, but from what i have heard about their testing software, it is more difficult than the offical test. I had the most problems with sentence correction. My math score was also pretty low, but many of the topics hadn't been covered by Gmax yet, and I think I will be able to repair my score by the final.
Once i complete all the classes, i am going to go through my completed HW and see where I am struggling the most, and then repeat those classes.
Once that is complete I'm going to begin taking practice test after practice test until i feel comfortable.
