Q-42 (61%ile) V-42 (95%ile) - 690 overall.
I'm about half way through my prep and this score was right around where I've been testing on
MGMAT CATs. Quant is my weakness, but this is my lowest result on any of the practice tests.
I have a few questions for GMAT vets: 1) What will the score report I receive in 20 days be comprised of? I'd be surprised if it gave the questions/correct answers etc like a
MGMAT score report. I would however love to see which kinds of quant problems I'm airballing to address those issues.
2) Do many schools look at comprehensive scoring, ie best Quant/best Verbal? I know Tuck does, but I can't seem to find a website that lists which schools do and don't. I don't think I'll have a problem replicating the Verbal score, but it would be nice to only really worry about improving quant on my next attempt and posting a really solid combined score.
2a) Is there a chart that shows which percentile in each part of the gmat corresponds with which overall score? I'd be curious to see what a 20%ile improvement in my quant score could do for my overall score.
3) Anyone have any tips for me as to how to boost my quant score? I consider myself very capable with math (710 math on SAT, if that means anything), but haven't seen the results I'm looking for with the GMAT quant. I haven't taken a math dominated class in about 6 years so I'm rusty, but 61%ile is pretty pathetic. Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any answers!
