Hi all,
I think this should be a common question that people would ask.
Are there any significant changes between the Kaplan Premier books (that's the book + CD) between the 2005 and 2006 editions? Are the questions different in the book? What about the CAT tests on the CD - do we have a new set of tests on the 2006 CD?
And I guess I have the same question about the Princeton Cracking the GMAT with CD-ROM book - is there a difference between the two editions? Does the 2006 edition have different (newer?) strategies? Newer questions? What about the CAT tests included on the CDs?
Basically my question is - if we have 1 edition of the book (say 2006) - how much sense will it make to get the other version (2005)? Or vice versa on the editions, of course...

I took my test early this month. For my prep, I used a 2002 edition for Cracking the GMAT (as well as the 10th ed OG). I flipped thru some newer editions before - did not notice significant differences.
And I got a good enough score.
Personally, I feel a relatively new edition should do the job quite well.

Your score is awesome. I hope you go for the top-tier schools still - I don't know anything about the PhD application process - but your having scored high GMAT and also your varied work experience should count for something (your own e-biz startup, public sector etc.). You could perhaps right an essay explaining that you were goofing off during the undergraduate years and "found" yourself...
