OMG!
I had this feeling that I had wasted my money (Amazon Int'l order so consider the shipping too!) when I attempted and finished all the math problems in the Kaplan 800 book.
The reason I bought that book was to get some practice on HARD math questions and thus build confidence.
Before buying it, I read reviews about the book and they were generally good. Many ppl recommended it for further practicing hard probs.
Well, the verbal probs (especially CR) were HARD all right, although they did not seem to resemble GMAT-like probs....
But the math!!!! The reason why I bought that book!!!! was just NOT CHALLENGING AT ALL. PS (espcially geometry) was a joke. I did most of the probs within a minute and got them right... DS was a little better. Some PS geometry, I just read the question, answered it in 20 secs.
800......uh-huh. Not with such medium-easy level math probs.
I knew TPR (with Joe Bloggs) and Kaplan werent' that challenging, but I thought Kaplan 800 (with that 800 figure!!) would be different. Well, it wasn't.
I don't mean that the book is bad, but just to let you know that the math probs aren't as difficult as what they make appear. Verbal probs are challenging and with explanations, they could help you.
If I were in the states, and bought this book at a bookstore, I'd get a refund...
"An 800 test taker, upon finishing all the math problems in the book, realizes that math problems can be much harder than those in the book."
