Thanks for your reply I'm finding the Kaplan class helpful in that it helps me focus my efforts. It's the classroom course in Ontario, Canada.
The teacher I have in class is good but I find he has to focus in on the people that are weaker in the class... in quant, especially. There's another one there whose workshops I attend who I find more helpful.
To be honest, I'm not sure if the Kaplan CATs will give me a true sense of how I will actually do on my GMAT (mid-September). I want to get a 720+ but am somewhat discouraged by my results so far.
CAT 1 - 660 (48Q, 30V)
CAT 2 - 620 (40Q, 33V)
CAT 3 - 620 (40Q, 36V)
I would rather know if I'm not doing well relative to the actual GMAT than perform on something that won't be indicative -- are there other practice tests I should be taking (I will be doing the GMAT Prep...but are others more representative than Kaplan or should I continue with the CATs). Am I being unnecessarily pessimistic?
I've been practicing quant for over one month now and am doing well in the practice sessions. However, I'm not sure why it's not reflected in CAT 2 and 3. Any thoughts?
I've started to work through verbal and am beginning to see some upward results which is encouraging.
