Thanks for the feedback guys, it seems Kaplan scores are off-base, but I think the tests are still excellent prep, just don't get dishartened by the scores !!

I agree...The Kaplan tests are a lot harder, and seem to be formated so that it takes longer to complete. I took the GMAT ones and it seemed alot similar to the GMAT PREP tests.

Can ayone give me feedback on the Kaplan Premier edition 2007 CATs?
I have done 2 now and gotten 560  both times, which is a lot lower than I need and my exam is in 1 month's time. I'm sure that I should be getting a higher score than this, but I seem to run out of time in the quants section.

Has anyone else done these, could someone give me a realistic assessment of how hard these are compared to the real test !!!!???

Thanks,

Andrew.

My score in caplan was 590 590 610 640
and main gmat was 730

dont worry abt Kaplan score

Also my roomate had 610 570 610 600
he got a 750 in main GMAT

Kaplan ususally gives bogus scores

My final results are:

Kaplan:
560
560
570
Princeton Review:
670
Gmat Prep:
730
710

Actual GMAT:
670 - V 40 (90%) Q 42 (67%) - AWA 5.5

Considering a rewrite as I am disappointed by my Quant result, but have already sent in my results to Oxford. Can anyone advise , I know the average at Oxford is just below 680.

Cheers,

Andrew.

If your other stats are strong and above their averages, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Were your essays and recs really good?

I think my essays should be good. Not sure about my recs - there was some political sensitivity around who I could ask...

I'm well above the average salary, in fact, I'm above the average post-MBA salary. Hopefully that would at least swing me an interview !

My only concern is that my quants score is relatively low.

I agree that the Kaplan scores are not a good indicator of acutal performance.

how about PR CATs

Are they a good indicator?

I've read at many places that they're easier, what do you guys think?
