Kaplan GMAT 2012 Premier - for new GMAT ?

Question

In 2012, the GMAT will undergo significant changes, including the addition of a new Integrated Reasoning section to the test. I have it and I did not notice any changes in it.
P.S. Yes, it has a new section on integrated reasoning due to be released next year, but no other changes really.

Hi bb,

Did they adapt the software for Windows vista and 7? I heard that the CD in the 2011 version did not work with these versions of windows. Also, I have the 8 MGMAT guides, would it be a good idea to also purchase that guide ?

You don't need to use the CD really - all the practice questions/tests are online. 
However, the software is not officially compatible with Win 7 but you should be able to make it work through the compatibility setting on Win 7. Again, though, not much value in the CD when you have online access.

I am giving my exam in September 2011. Can I buy the Kaplan 2012 book for the tests? The tests will be as per the existing pattern right?

Hi,

I just received my Kaplan 2012 book. I registered online but not sure how to get the free online class event that comes with the book.

Also, i am not able to download the mobile version of book via the 'Kaplan Mobile' app on iPhone. It says you have registered for the product that is not available on Kaplan Mobile. However, in the Kaplan Mobile FAQs, it says Kaplan 2012 is available.

Any ideas on these?

The online event was done in January a year or two ago - it was interesting but nothing that would preclude you from taking the gmat or taking advantage of the book.

I will PM the Kaplan reps and see if they can fix this. I think the book is very new - last year I had a similar issue with the online companion for the 2011 edition (it said it was not found, so it could not give me the CAT's).

The 2012 edition has a preview of the Integrated Reasoning section; since you're taking the test well before implementation of the next generation GMAT, you won't need that chapter.

I just bought a Kaplan GMAT Premier 2012 book today. While I tried to registering for the online resources, my browser window automatically got closed. Due to this my registration could not be completed. When I tried to register again by using the serial number provided with the book, it says the book has already been registered. Any idea what my next step should be? Would be glad of any help to regain access to my online resources. And I am from India, which means I can't use the toll free number provided..
