Can someone please explain what to make of Kaplan scores-

Total - 710 (94 percentile); Q - 47 (97 percentile: 35 correct out of 37); V - 42 (95 percentile: 34 correct out of 41).

I can understand a score of 42 when you get 34 correct out of 41. However, 47 in Quant with 35/37 correct? Has anyone given these online tests and should I even take it seriously? Or do people stick to CD tests of KAPLAN only?
Hi synecdoche,

Where were the two questions wrong?

Remember, problems are scored differently based on their position and difficulty of the test--if you got the first two medium-difficulty questions wrong, your score will be lower than if you get the last two very hard questions wrong!

Regards,

Hi Eli

It wasn't the first two. Q21 and the 2nd one somewhere in the 30s. Even the 2nd one, I'm not sure if it's actually wrong. I had thought zero is neither an even nor an odd number. However, if zero is taken as an even number, then my answer would be wrong.
Zero is even.

Sorry about the confusion with your scores, though! We work really hard to get our 200-800 scores accurate as possible, because that's what most students, and most B-schools, are concerned with; unfortunately, it looks like we might not have gotten the sectional scores quite right. Can you tell me which test this is, and I'll make sure that the anomaly is reported? Thanks!
