Hi all-
I've heard (and pardon me if this has already been covered since I'm new here) that scores on practice Kaplan CATs are typically significantly lower. I've also recently heard they are a good gauge of how one should expect to perform.
I am taking a class through Kaplan and also have been using OG. I have been right around 670 on my last 3 practice Kaplan practice CATs. I am saving the GMATPrep tests for later in my studies, so while I know those test provide a better assessment, for now I need Kaplan to set my gauge.
I know there is a score estimator here, but it is inconsistent. I was wondering if some folks who have used the Kaplan CATs and taken the actual tests could give me an idea of whether I am in the right ballpark for a 710/720 with three weeks to go.

I think you're in good shape. I took 3 Kaplan CATs and scored 560, 620 and 580. My actual GMAT was 720. Their scoring is way off. But these CATs do help build stamina though.

I got 540 - 590 in 6 of my practice exams and then got a 600 for real. I was more surprised at how easy the Quant seemed vs. the Verbal, compared to Kaplan. But that's just my experience...
