I'll say you are doing great!

I just took one Kaplan CAT and scored 550. I scored 710 on the real one!

Since you're scoring 670 on Kaplan.....I think you may go deep in the 700 range. Not just a 710-720. Anyway, thats just my opinion! :)

Is there a difference between CATS taken for Kaplan students vs CATS taken by people buying Kaplan book/cd?

I got a 610 on the actual back in May.
I enrolled in Kaplan almost done with all 8 CAT exams.
As a student, I've scored from a 570-660. Kaplan problems are very difficult to complete on time. I usually guess on the last 10 problems on Kaplan exams. The challenging thing about Kaplan is understanding the questions. They require alot more reading and their math problems are usually multistep problems.

I believe the Kaplan CATs you are taking online as their student and the Kaplan CD CAT everyone here is talking about are different, although they do have some overlap questions. I took five of the online CATS and scored 770, 730, 730, 750, and 710. I have three more left to take. I did also took one of the CAT from the CD. I did see one or two reading passage that is repeat from the online CATs, but their scoring are different. I got 680 from the CD CATs.

Do we know if the online course CATs (the ones I have been taking) are more accurate in gauging one's score?

I also took some CATs from the book and did even worse on those (560, 570). Lately with the CATs from the online course I've been hovering around 700.
