Hello,

I have got an admit from Joseph M.Katz Graduate School of Business(University of Pittsburgh) and EDHEC Business School (Nice, France).
Both the geographies have got their own constraints and I am not sure which one to join.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Katz -
2 year MBA program

EDHEC -
1 year Global MBA program

Hi AbhinavBankhwal

Congratulations on being accepted to those two schools.

Below I will present you latest Financial Times Global MBA Ranking 2018 :

Rankings KATZ
Rank in 2018 82
Rank in 2017 85
Rank in 2016 98
3 year average rank 88

KATZ Alumni career progress

Salary today (US$) 105,732
Weighted salary (US$) 105,732
Salary percentage increase 133
Value for money rank 52
Career progress rank 99
Aims achieved (%) 86
Careers service rank 65
Employed at three months (%) 89 (100)
Alumni recommend rank 86

KATZ Diversity
Female faculty (%) 32
Female students (%) 32
Women on board (%) 14
International faculty (%) 20
International students (%) 32
International board (%) 5
International mobility rank 46
International course experience rank 66

Rankings EDHEC
Rank in 2018 75
Rank in 2017 74
Rank in 2016 84
3 year average rank 78

EDHEC Alumni career progress

Salary today (US$) 107,505
Weighted salary (US$) 107,505
Salary percentage increase 79
Value for money rank 4
Career progress rank 48
Aims achieved (%) 85
Careers service rank 50
Employed at three months (%) 78 (87)
Alumni recommend rank 88

EDHEC Diversity
Female faculty (%) 40
Female students (%) 42
Women on board (%) 38
International faculty (%) 53
International students (%) 90
International board (%) 86
International mobility rank 26
International course experience rank 18

All in all I would say EDHEC is slightly better ranked in almost any category except in Salary percentage increase where KATZ is double better ranked, on the other hand EDHEC is cheaper and have great value for money rank.
Of course KATZ is 2 year program and it is not surprise that is more expensive than EDHEC (10 months) but unless you want to work in US after MBA you should go for EDHEC in my opinion.
Also, EDHEC has 90% of International students vs. only 32% at KATZ, which means that culture is maybe more suitable for you.
Furthermore, EDHEC has 50% of International faculty as well and their program is one year shorter which may or may not be advantage from your perspective (depending what you want and can afford) but is certainly more affordable and cost-effective.

Also consider cost of living in Pittsburgh vs Nice, for instance Apartment (1 bedroom) Outside of Center is 819.20 $ (685.15 €) in Pittsburgh versus 719.09 $ (601.43 €) in Nice.

Below you will find picture attached of comparison of those two schools used by esteemed The Economist tool.

Hope this all helps you to decide !
