I am having a difficult time trying to decide which score to use for my applications. I took GMAT about a month ago and scored 730 (Q48 V42 IR4). I was very dismayed by the poor IR score. So, I retook the test today and got 710 (Q47 V40 IR 6). Where my quant and verbal scores have dipped a bit, the IR score increased by 2 points. Hence the dilemma- should I keep the higher 730 with the lower IR or go with 710? Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

It's likely that these two scores would be viewed by Admissions Committees in the exact same way - a 730/Q48 and a 710/Q47 are both outstanding scores (at or above the 90th percentile overall), so you can apply to any Business Schools that interest you (and with either Score). Many Business Schools have publicly stated that they do NOT consider an applicant's IR score when reviewing the application, so it's likely that you have nothing to worry about there. As long as your AWA is a 4.0 or higher, then you're 'set' with either score.
