After making an initial decision to attend Kelley over McDonough and placing my deposit, I now find myself off the waitlist with another big decision.
Between the cost of attendance, living, and scholarship money offered at Kelley, it would cost me approx $100k more to attend Johnson.
I really really liked the feeling I got at Kelley (more than my visit to Cornell), but I still have this nagging hesitation because I know that Johnson is considered a better program in rankings, and it has Cornell's "Ivy League" tag and reputation along with it.
I am looking to go the consulting route, with supply chain also in the back of my mind. I would prefer to work in the north-east after graduation. I know that Cornell initially stands out due to location, but Kelley has surprisingly large network numbers in the New York area (especially when combined with undergraduate alums). In fact, several Kelley students I spoke to said there seems to be less competition for north-east jobs because most Kelley students want to stay in the mid-west after graduation.
Any strong thoughts on the decision?
