Kellogg EMBA 2026: Is the January-Start Program Easier for Admissions and Scholarships?
Do you boost your chances of getting into Kellogg’s Executive MBA program by applying for the January start instead of the traditional fall intake? This is one of the most common questions I hear—and the short answer is
yes.
Why? Because fewer applicants target the January start program. Far more applicants aim for the traditional fall cycle, and so your odds of getting into the January program are higher. You have an opportunity to stand out more. Importantly, this can also enhance your chances of receiving a scholarship, as long as you submit a truly outstanding application that is well-honed and positions you as a strong asset to the cohort.
As you consider applying for a January start, though, don’t mistake “less competitive” for “easy.” Kellogg’s standards remain high year‐round. If you choose the January start, make sure your application is polished, powerful, and prepared with absolute care.
