I work at a consulting so sometimes i don't really lead anybody..just do my own thing...

I think the key is to demonstrate your leadership potential. You don't have to be a boss to show your leadership. For example, you can pick a situation where you worked in a team -> made a really big impact -> successful project etc. Just make sure that your leadership comes through in your essay.

I used experiences from my current role but not my current project.

I don't think of my role as a big deal, but its all about spin. I'm basically an event planner, but I talked about the role the events have on revenue, etc. for the company.

Did you initiate a project? Did you help steer some decisions? Did you sway some key decision makers?

Also, the essay question doesn't explicitly mention professional leadership, so it can be in terms fo extra-curricular leadership. The key thing is to relate what you do to how you can apply its use within a collegiate environment. What benefits do these experiences bring to the table?

Good point. I also talked about leadership in my extracurricular activities. It is a pretty common pursuit (where I live, anyway) and it helped me connect with my interviewers at both Wharton and Kellogg.

good stuff. I was worried a little about "current" leadership, as I don't have as much as I used to (in terms of leading teams). I could definitely put a spin on being the "lead" of a business area for what I do, and take it from there, or use extracurriculars.
