Executive MBA: Kellogg’s Corporate Sponsorship Requirements
Kellogg offers a very rigorous and thorough Executive MBA program. Given the time demands of preparing for and attending class, as a part of its admissions process, Kellogg requires that applicants secure a letter from their employer stating that the company will offer time sponsorship for the applicant for the duration of the program. By offering time sponsorship, your employer acknowledges that you are applying to Kellogg and indicates its approval of the time you will need to devote to the program. Your employer is affirming that they will give you the time off you need to attend the program. The corporate sponsor letter much be prepared and signed on company letterhead by a company representative with the authority to approve the time off you will need.
There is another type of corporate sponsorship: financial sponsorship. This is when your employer will pay for your EMBA education, fully or in part. If your employer is providing financial sponsorship, the company should indicate this in the corporate sponsor letter they prepare for you. However, remember that financial sponsorship is not required, so it is okay if your employer will not provide financial sponsorship.
