Hello Everyone,
Having read similar Q&As in the past, I never fully grasped the magnitude of the dilemma until finding myself in the same position.
I find myself at a crossroads in choosing between Kellogg and Kenan-Flagler for my MBA. Seeking guidance on the prestige of Kellogg versus the financial advantage at Kenan-Flagler, especially for a career in consulting.
1. Based on Rankings alone, Kellogg is the top program I have been accepted into. In addition to this, after speaking to current students and alumni, I feel the value of the Kellogg Brand is something that cannot be let go.
2. From the financial angle, I am a bit apprehensive about letting go of the fellowship dollars from Kenan-Flagler. This might be myopic but I also feel that Kenan-Flagler being a T20 school also has enough credibility to place students in desired paths of interest.
I kindly request assistance and suggestions from the community at the earliest. Thank you in advance!

congrats on the amazing offers.
I believe the perceived worth of an MBA is highly subjective. It hinges on your mindset and whether you prioritize practicality over brand recognition or vice versa. This decision carries significant weight, you wouldn't want to regret later, choosing a substantial scholarship over an Ivy League brand, or vice versa. Therefore, there isn't a clear-cut right choice, instead, I'd posit that there's no wrong choice. As mentioned by BB, evaluating how can you chalk out a path toward your goals at either is important.
If you are an international student, also keep in mind the possibility that you may have to move to a different geography eventually, and whether the brand recall would have an impact or not.
Best wishes
