Hi !
Today I took my first GMAT ,but I am not happy with my experience at the test center !
First , when i raise my hand to get help or to have my breaks . Every time , it takes 1 minutes or more to get the staff attention . Maybe this is not serious problem , I can do well with 7-minute break .
Second , the mouse sometimes needs more than one press to answer , sometimes two , again this is not crucial .
I did not complain about any of the previous issues , I just was annoyed by them .

But the most serious thing , was that almost in the middle of my AWA , the keyboard stopped working properly . As a result , approximately 1/2 of mt time in AWA was useless , I raised my hand and got the staff to see it .They told me that a the problem has been reported to PearsonVUE , and they don't know what usually happens regarding such issues .

I would like to know what to expect ?
Any advice in what should I do ?

Hi foryearss ,

Sorry to hear that.

Since they have reported the issue to Pearson Vue, the chances are they will give you option to either accept the current scores or cancel the current one and give a new attempt for free.

This is a known issue and I remember the same has been taken care of to handle this issue.

Ok thanks abhimahna , that sounds good ,

I read in some posts here that GMAC maintains standardized test conditions , So is it enough that my problem got reported in the test center , or should I also reach to GMAC ?

Another question is that ,normally : how quickly the staff is to respond when the examinee raises his or her hand ? Is one minute normal ?

Hey foryearss ,

To be on a safer side, I would prefer to report from myself as well.

Moreover, staff response really depends on the test centre. Since they didn't respond for one minute, it shows how careless they were. But yes, I don't think this should be something Pearson would consider any issue.

I would say leave the late response thing. Get a free try and appear somewhere else, if possible.

update :
They responded today saying that they examined the issue , found out that no time was lost and no concerns was raised during the exam .
:/ :/
