Answer should be D.
(A) It refers to sources of additional data that cannot easily be reconciled with the facts. : Lee has cited an assumptio mon which Kim's statement is based so it is not an additonal data.
(B) It offers an alternative explanation that is equally supported by the evidence Kim cites. An assumption not mentioned so can't tell if it is supprted
(C) It cites an analogous case in which Kim’s explanation clearly cannot hold. It is not a case so wrong
(D) It suggests that Kim’s explanation depends on a questionable assumption. Correct
(E) It points out that Kim’s explanation is based on two hypotheses that contradict each other. No hypothesis mentioned in question.
