In D, what "it" refers here?
And why B is wrong?

B is wrong because its using the format "Whether or not " which is always wrong.

IMO it should be C instead of D because in D its not clear what IT is referring to..

OA please.

Would go with D....

My Approach.... convert the big sentence into a short version..

users can now manage materials.. from any location,_________________________

If we try to fill in all the options now, D is perfect....

A and B (although both are same :?: )... use whether to start but we need a pronoun 'it' to follow before roof tops to make a reference to 'location' as these are the examples of the locations in the sentence...... Hence they aren't correct and out...

C = be that location would be.... is too wordy and uses location which is redundant
D = be it a roof top.... is perfect as pronoun 'it' refers to the location for which the example is being sited....
E = them is a wrong pronoun as it cannot refer back to location.

'it' should refer to the closest noun that preeceds it.
As the noun reference is location, D is more concise than C.
Please post the OA.
