Hello,
I'm taking my GMAT for the fourth and last time in the next two weeks regardless of score. I ordered the additional GMAT prep with 2 practice exams. I took a test today and scored a very disappointing 610. In particular, i'm trying to improve upon my verbal scores as I've read that it plays a bigger factor in overall scores than quant scores.
The breakdown of my scores are: Q: 41 (54th percentile); V: 34 (69th percentile)
I missed the following:
Quant - 13 questions: 1, 6, 7, 8, 16, 24, 26, 27, 29, 33-36
Verbal - 11 questions: 3, 4, 5, 8, 11, 13, 24, 25, 27, 31, 40
My first question in quant was a probability question and I missed it due to a very careless mistake. I realize and accept that I need to improve on my quant.
I'm kindly requesting some perspective as to how the scoring works. I thought my verbal scores would for sure be higher. Are these very low scores due to the fact that I missed some of the first 10 questions.
I'm just really frustrated with how I'm doing in my prep session. Any last minute advice/guidance is much appreciated. I've spent a whole year fretting over the gmat and I keep getting abysmal scores - 590 to 630.
Please please please assist.
Thanks
