Should I just take the average of Q and V scores over 6 Knewton practice tests to get an idea of how I will score on my next GMAT attempt?

No, no, no, no, no... Don't do this. You scored very well and did a fantastic job on those CAT exams. By averaging the score, you get nothing but the average of 6 scores. Don't waste time trying to dictate what you MAY score. Instead, go through each exam and spend some time on each of the questions (whether you answered correctly or not). Learn those concepts. It's a much better use of your time.

Good luck and do well! Bring that 700+ back home!

What was your score on the GMATprep diagnostics? As far as I know, that's the best predictor of your actual score on the day of the GMAT. The Knewton CATs, while useful for practice, tend to skew toward higher difficulty. So you may find that your score on the day of the exam will be higher than your CATs. I recommend going back through your CATs, grouping your incorrect problems by question type and focusing your review there.

yes, i have been going through knewton CAT questions..well, i took gmatprep test multiple times before my last 2 gmat attempts in 2011..today i took gmatprep test1 and scored 710.(Q46, V42)...since it has been over 4 months, i did not remember the right answers, though some of the questions did look familiar...while i am happy about the V score, Q score is a bit disappointing..i made some silly mistakes on very easy question toward the end of the test..more interestingly, i got 19 incorrect answers on Q and still scored 46..how is that possible? my mistakes were not necessarily clustered in 2nd half of the test, but were rather evenly distributed..anyways, i am just suprised to see 19 incorrect and still Q46..
