i suggest to replace two kudos buttons ( thumb up and smiley face) with this work of art
The thumbs-up gesture is commonly used in many cultures to signify a job well done. However, if it is used in Australia, Greece, or the Middle East — especially if it is thrust up as a typical hitchhiking gesture would be — it means essentially “Up yours!” or “Sit on this!”

Thank you for your suggestion and explaining the cultural reference. Does the Facebook have the same problem or have they been been able to tackle it somehow?

Let's make this symbol so popular for the good work that it cannot be used for any offending gestures...
Lets hope that there would not be any need to make such gestures.
Hope for a better place...
