1. L1 is parallel to L2
Point a(7,3) on L2 is exactly 13 units away from point b on L1. What is the x coordinate of point b ?

In question 1, I'm confused, because we don't know how they are parallel. However, if the were parallel around the y axis (vertical lines), then the x coordinate would have to be either 20 or -6, neither of which is not an answer choice. They could be diagonal as well. Since I have nothing else to go on, I would say the x coordinate is 7, or D.

Answer is A
Statement 2 tells us nothing.
Statement 1 tells us that x > 4-x, which equals x > 2
