Hey all,
So I’m a bit nervous now if I’m honest for not being fully authentic in my admissions interview. Applied R2 to several schools while employed. Literally the next day I was laid off. Essentially they determined that we didn’t have enough of a market for my job to target. They want to evaluate the need for my job in 2 months and asked if I could be still available as a consultant after that (essentially they don’t want someone full time for my job and just as needed).
At first I didn’t think much of it since Im likely to work for them on a consulting basis next month, but that could easily not happen if they just don’t bother with the expense.
Officially I was let go as a ‘mutual decision’ by my employer. I am collecting unemployment temporarily. Do you think this will be an issue if I am admitted and undergone a background check? Should I tell them (either now or after I am accepted)?
