Hey guys,
I have roughly one month ahead before I take the GMAT (October 21st) and I'd like to get your opinion on my study plan for these last weeks. I took my first GMATPrep test a few days ago and got a 700 (Q49, V37), and I am hoping I still have enough time left to improve my score by 30-40 points (Q50, V40 would be good enough for me). I'm aiming for a 720 at the very minimum.
So far I've been focusing on the quant section, and I already did all the questions from OG 2015 and the Official Quant Review. Those problems I missed or took me too long to solve I did twice, making sure I knew what my mistakes were and how to solve them efficiently. I usually waited a few weeks before I tried them again. I also went through all 5 Manhattan guides and the gmatclub math book.
With regard to the verbal section, I did around 30 RC questions and 80 CR questions from OG 2015 and got an accuracy of 92% and 85% respectively. SC was my strength so I decided to leave it aside until the last month of preparation. I also went through both the CR and the RC Manhattan guides.
Now, let's jump ahead to what's important, the study plan.
- I intend to go over Manhattan's Advanced Quant Guide in about a week or so. I'd also like to buy the GMAT Question pack to keep practicing real questions at the same time.
- I want to read Manhattan's SC guide and do all the remaining verbal questions in about one week.
- I'll probably spend the third week reviewing and understanding all the mistakes I made in the previous two weeks.
- For the last week and a half, I'm thinking I could do the second GMATPrep test and the two tests on the Official GMAT Exam Pack. I only did 4 full tests in my 2 and a half months of preparation, so I feel that I need to build up some stamina.
So what do you think? Is it realistic? Do you think it is a good approach and that it can help me get my target score? I'd really appreciate your comments.
