Last day to take GMAT exam?

Question

When is the last day to take GMAT exam? I am going to apply for Fall 2025. And I am still studying to get high score. Please suggest me.

Hi  MoeKo ,

You are pushing it close to the deadlines. so the answer depends on your school deadlines. 
The absolute drop dead date of taking the GMAT is the day of your deadline (you need a score to enter on the application).

But the recommended date is 15 days before your deadline as the "last" safe time since it takes 14 days to reschedule the GMAT in case you have a technical malfunction.

Ideal time is 2-3 months before the deadline so you can focus on your applications.

Test result normally takes 5 to 7 days. Is that actually true.

You'll get the unofficial report when the exam ends but the official report can take atleast 12-13 hours.

In addition to the advice you've already received, you should try to take the test at a test centre (instead of online). Most test-centre scores are available in 1-3 days, whereas some online scores can take 2-3 weeks.

If there's a particular school you're aiming for, consider reaching out for what their specific policy is. Perhaps they're fine with an unofficial score provided it was taken before the application deadline and becomes official.

Most programs are comfortable will an unofficial score submitted in the application with the official score to follow in a few days. That being said, unless you're well ahead of the game on your applications, recommendations, etc., You don't want to be battling application deadlines at the same time as you're taking the exam.
