I would recommend keeping an error log. Practice the questions that you get wrong and identify key weaknesses. Try to use a consistent strategy for addressing DS questions and so on. Since you have little time left, I might even recommend the GMAT Club Tests. Those are 700+ level questions and will help you understand the concepts better.

u need an error log first or at the very least know what type of the questions you are getting wrong and the cause of them. some practice tests you can turn the timer off and it tells you how long you have spent on the problem. Perhaps you could try doing that and see if it is time thats causing you to mess things up or you just dont understand the topics. Another rule of thumb - if you are not done with the problem within 2.5 mins it is probably a lost cause and you need to review the topic.

Hi guys,

For the past 2 months I have been preparing for my GMAT (sept 22 is the day) and I am currently at the point where I am scoring between 44 and 50 for verbal consistently but I cannot raise my math score above 40. On my past 4 CATs i have scored 35 (kaplan), 35(kaplan), 38(PR), 39(PR).

I really need to break this barrier and elevate my math score to around a 45-46. Is this possible? Any tips about how I should go about achieving this besides just muscling through the OG and quant review books?

Thanks for the help.

First of all, great verbal score. Do not take Kaplan and PR too seriously. They are not very accurate in terms of scoring. For your quant preparation, I would recommend doing the end of chapter questions on the MGMAT books and review the topics you are weak at. Like you had mentioned, muscle through all of the OG problems. Please take a look at MGMAT OG Companion, they have great explanations.

I hope this was helpful and good luck,
