so as i mentioned in another thread - tomorrow is the big day for me. 2 questions have been bugging me though, and hopefully someone can answer them
1) for other computer standardized tests, i know that they let you start the test early if you get there early. has anyone experienced this with the gmat? or are they pretty strict with the start time?
You can start pretty much when you are ready. It will take you a while to enter all the school info (you do it ahead of time and go through instructions, so to some degree, you control the pace of the test - to some degree

2) as far as reporting scores to schools - i think there are x # of schools included in the price, correct? if i do poorly, would it make any difference if i don't send any schools my scores (since i've already paid for it)?
You can send your scores up to 5 schools (included in the $250 fee). I would not worry about embarrassing yourself, rather of the opposite. I picked 2 schools I wanted to go, 1 above my league and 2 below (I was really pessimistic). Anyway, after getting 750, I could not get rid of junk mail in my mailbox from those 2 schools for months!
