My drive to the testing center takes about 20 minutes. My exam is at 4 PM and I left my apartment at 2:40 PM. There was a major wreck on the highway while I was driving, and traffic has been stopped for the last hour. I had no alternate routes, and couldn’t exit the highway. It looks like I’ll be there around 4:30. What should I do? I tried calling the testing center, but nobody picked up. This is incredibly frustrating. The program that I am applying to has a GMAT deadline of January 15th, and all of the exams are fully booked until then. Will they let me take the GMAT today if I arrive 30 mins late?

Max allowed late time is 15 minutes. So if your exam is at 4 PM and you arrive after 4.15 PM you will not be permitted to take the test.
I would suggest you call the GMAC customer care and let them know that you are stuck in traffic for an hour. And they might help with this situation.

It really depends on the centre.
They might admit you.They might not.
I think they will understand if your reason is cogent.
STOP WASTING time.
Go to the centre right now!!
