Hi!
Thank you for answering me so quickly and sorry for having ticked so many tags. I did it in order to attract some answers, can I delete them now?

I think I have been a bit hurried once writing the question and I would like to be more precise now.

First, I have been admitted to LBS GMiM: first year in London and second in Shanghai (Sudan University). Even if I do think that his MiM + MSc is a strong double degree solution, giving the opportunity to reach a deep and global exposure, I am a bit scared concerning Shanghai’s life, not in terms of budget issue, but of academic environment, cultural diversity and quality of the life.

On the other hand, I have been admitted to Grand Ecolé MiM at HEC, traditional two years program. This solution truly sounds more comfortable to me, since I have been many times in Paris, I have a basic knowledge of French language and, of course, it is actually closer to Italy. Moreover, I mentioned the possibility to apply (later, during the first year) for a double degree course, maybe giving the opportunity to spend the second year in USA (MIT and Yale for instance). Correct me if I not right.

I appreciated your words, they have been helpful. With this corrections, do you think I am approaching the decision properly? Do I have to focus more on the quality of the courses? On the brand? On the cities or the lifestyle? On cultural diversities?

Thank you again.

Hi MB20197

Of course you should delete those tags unrelated in any sense with your question and situation :)

People saw them because of your tag, but they would not answer to your question because it doesn't concern them or school they represent.

Here we talk about HEC vs. LBS and let say additional schools that HEC has arrangement in this MiM program like:
MIT (USA), FGV (Brasil), GSOM (Russia), IIM Ahmedabad (India), Tsinghua University (China), Keio Business School (Japan), ESADE (Spain), University of St.Gallen (Switzerland), Bocconi (Italy), TUM (Germany) etc .

I agree with you that MIT and M2M HEC-Yale are great opportunity, and you should definitively then go there.

I understand why to you as Italian/European, Paris and USA looks more attractive in terms of quality of life, cultural diversity, proximity to home (Paris) than Shanghai :)

European and North American culture are much more related compared to Asian.

To Asians for instance, they probably even look the same, as Western culture of living.

Knowledge of French is a big plus.

Yes you approach your decision exactly right, in terms of the quality of the courses and brand you are set both ways, there is no question about that.

As I said in earlier post, double degree from HEC (if applicable to you) is game changer and since we are clear now on that, then your best choice is HEC + whatever other institution you choose later.

Bonne Chance ! :)
