Hi all,
I am currently finishing an internship and I have my supervisor agree to be one of my referee. The thing is, I am applying September 2017 for the 2018 intake so there is no way he is writing me one then. ("Can't evaluate precisely", he said)
Does anyone know the format of the LBS MiM reference so that I can send it to him and have my referee prepare ahead of time? Is it similar to the MBA reference format?
Please help me out.
Thanks,
Joe.

Hi Joe,
A good strategy to think so far ahead but It is always better to have a referral from an internship or work experience closer to the deadline you are applying too
Here as you have mentioned you will be finishing your current internship now and applying in 2018.
If you have another internship in between this period it will makes more sense to take it from them rather then taking an internship from one who is 6 months or 7 months old.
You may want to take this into account, but if you are sure that this is the only internship you are going to do then of course you can get the LOR done now.
Create a dummy account on the LBS MiM page and mark yourself as a referee and send the referee details to yourself, this way you will know the format and can brief your referee accordingly.
A big problem here would be that the LOR is digital and will need to be sent from the referee account, so not sure you can do it now for a 2018 application.
