Is the submission of an official copy of the transcript mandatory? I have submitted a pdf with the online app. Please let me know your views asap and I will mail it to them if required.

the official transcript original copy is only needed when u get admitted. PDF if fine for now!

Are you sure of this ? I remember distinctly that they required an original. I remember because they were the only school that required an original. They said that they give upto 2 weeks from deadline day to receive the original transcript.

this from an "application reminder" email i got last week.

Q. Do you require original copies of my transcripts?
A. Yes, but not at this initial stage. We only require copies of your academic transcripts at the application stage. If these documents are not in English then you should provide an official translation.

We prefer applicants to submit transcripts online. Full instructions can be found within the application form.

If you are admitted we will require an official paper transcript and a certified or notarised English translation if this is not in English.

The Admissions Committee reserves the right to retract an offer of admission already made if there is any discrepancy between the transcript copy and the original.

We do not require transcripts for courses that did not contribute to a degree.

Till last year they required applicants to send their official transcripts. They have changed that from this year - guessing looking at the no. of applicants last year. Now the official transcripts are required only once you have got admitted.
