If you are asking specifically about the value of INSEAD during the recruiting, I don’t think a consulting company will give you any slack because he wants to one school versus the other.

Any value in recruiting will come in from secondary elements. Things such as alumni presence, strength of the consulting club, help you will get from classmates, networking, etc. So none of these are direct contributors us to potential employment outcome. If I correctly understand your comment.

PS. I mean there may be some weird potential situation where a partner in the office went to INSEAD or LBS and they are more predisposed to students from those schools but I don’t think that would be a very significant contributor that I have ever heard anyone from any school quote or reference…. It’s pretty professional.

If you are confident at being invited to interview able to potentially convert, then I feel INSEAD is a preferred choice. It’s faster, provides a stronger and more focused group with primary focus on Consulting.

Thanks for your thoughts. That was overall my assessment too. It’s hard to know what to make of that marginal difference in the context of significant financial help vs. paying potentially full fee, though.
