If one gets admitted to both INSEAD and LBS, which one to choose? That is my dilemma. Both are ultra-elite. Both are ranked very highly in all the rankings. I would appreciate input from others regarding their choice, with detailed comments and reasoning.

I agree with the previous posters, my 2 cents are:

You should ask yourself where you want to be post graduation. If you want to do Finance, LBS all the way. Anything but Finance, I think INSEAD has the edge.

In this case, location within europe doesn't matter too much since insead has more alums in London than LBS, but INSEAD is better connect within Asia. EXCEPT in finance, I think LBS is still a stronger brand in Finance within Asia (don't know for fact or even have a method of gaging it.)

Are you going into Finance?

same with the previous posts but also consider to visit the campus to see what type of environment. INSEAD is mostly in an isolated place so that you are "forced" to hang out with people in your class, this can be good if you want to for stronger and longer lasting relationship once you graduate.

On the margin - my personal feeling is that LBS is a more prestigious program than INSEAD. INSEAD is still a great school and can be appealing if you're looking to do a quick one-year MBA. If you have two years to spare AND have been accepted to LBS, I would go for LBS. In London you'll have the advantage of interning with top employers that are within easy reach and I think LBS probably has better full-time recruiting options overall.

Can I ask why are we dragging up 5 year old posts where the OP has likely already graduated..?
