Chopperin, have you contacted any of the typical Junior Military Officer (JMO) headhunters? While you have to take what they say with a grain of salt, I think they will give you a fairly objective idea of what companies would fit your experience. At the risk of speculating, it sounds like you're unsure if you want to stay in the military for a career and are getting a feel for what getting out would be in terms of job opportunities. If bschool is something that you're interested in, I highly recommend contacting the Veterans clubs at a few of the schools that have been mentioned, like Kellogg (MMM), Ross (Tauber) and so on. Talking to veterans who were at school and going through the recruiting process was a big help to me when I was deciding whether to apply or not. Good luck!

Both are in the 100's... higher and lower.. but a senior engineer is also in the same range.. My manager probably makes less than a handful of the engineers. (that's just how the industry works)

gregarious- You pretty much hit the nail on the head. It's funny because I've been looking forward to leaving the service and getting an MBA for a long time and now that it's crunch time, I'm starting to get nervous. But I have been talking to some vets at the schools and you're right, it has been very helpful and informative.
