- • I, M and O are three distinct positive integers.
• I * M * O = 2001
To find:
- • The largest possible value of the sum I + M + O.
Approach and Working:
The factors of the number 2001 are: 1, 3, 23, 29, 69, 87, 667 and 2001
- • As, I, M and O are distinct positive integers, the largest value of I + M + O = 1 + 3 + 667 = 671 (also 1 * 3 * 667 = 2001)
Hence, the correct answer is option E.

total factors = 3
so 1+3+667 = 671
