When should we get our letter of recommendations ready? I will be taking GMAT sometime in 2017 and will be applying for the colleges 2 years later. Should i start fetching the letter of recommendations? and how many LOR's should one get?

Since you would not be applying in the next two years, you should wait to get the LORs.
The LOR should state all your achievements and if you get them today, you run the risk of missing out on thing you would have achieved in the next two years.
