Hello All,
I am applying to Michigan Ross' MBA program and for the letter of recommendation, I wish to provide the letter from my professional mentor instead of my current supervisor. I am planning to do so because my mentor has known me longer than my supervisor(have been at this job for only 6 months, but my mentor has known me for over 1.5 years).
Does that impact the application? Do you recommend I still take the recommendation from my supervisor?
Appreciate your helpful responses.
Read these instructions from Ross. It will be clear:
Select a recommender who can discuss your professional performance and work style; a current or former supervisor is ideal. Alternatives include a client, project manager,
or professional mentor. They'll accept your mentor's recommendation. For the other programs where you are applying, check their requirements and then decide whether you need an optional essay.
