I was hoping on some advice about getting good letters.
Here are my concerns:
In my current company, manager turnover has been high so I haven't been able to build really strong relationships. And I haven't really kept in touch with my manager for my previous company but had a consistent manager. How would I go about asking her for a reco?
Also, the letters seems to be a lot of work with different templates for each school. If applying to 3-4 schools, I am concerned that it would be too much work for my references that they would not want to do it or would not put too much effort in them.
Any insights?

If your letter writers balk at the idea of writing several different letters, consider letting them write one letter for all the schools that addresses all of what the schools are looking for in that one letter. It's not an ideal solution but it is better than no letter at all.
