Do business school PhD letters of recommendations present the referees with specific questions to answer the way MBA letters of recommendation do? Or can the referees just write up one letter and upload it everywhere?

I mean, since each candidate is likely to submit 15-25 applications, it would be pretty unfair on the referees to ask them to answer separate questions for each school, especially considering that they are really doing the candidate a favor and have nothing to gain from the venture.

hi,

A PhD is very different from a MBA. The letters by your professors show your skills and attitude to research, theoretically and practically

They describe who you are. I does not matter whether then you submit the letters to INSEAD rather than Kellog BS.

See my post: Best resources for PhD in Business at the top of this page.

Regards
