Hi guys,
Im a student from Asian country with none international working experience and none of studying background in international program
Im curious are these weakness going to significantly impact my chance getting into top MBA program (such as CBS, Wharton, or Kellogg) ?
and one last question guys, I am now considering chance to work for one-month temporary project (about social development) with embassy in Burmar but not sure whether is it good or relevant for getting into MBA or not?...Is it ok to use it to improve my weakness on none international experience?
Thank You...
The lack of international experience may not be the biggest challenge you'll have to overcome except for some B-schools such as INSEAD, IMD etc.
You will need a minimum of 2 years fulltime work experience. And since you are aiming for the top programs, this experience has to be really strong and aligned to what you want to do after MBA. You should also be aiming for a 720+ score to become competitive.
Goal clarity is absolutely important - you need to articulate clearly and convincingly why you need an MBA, why now and why from a particular school/program. Start doing the necessary research and introspection to figure this out right away. This might be a good place to start:
