Hello everyone,
I'm in the process of applying for master in finance in two universities, LBS & HEC. I looked up tuition on
prodigy finance and they were very clear about their commitment to cover all tuition and fees via a private loan. However, they informed me that they would not be able to finance my living expenses, and my savings are not sufficient to cover such costs, given that London and Paris are both expensive. Now as you all know, I won't be able to obtain the student visa in either of those countries without securing those funds, so my question is: is there a way to obtain funds for living expenses from another borrower? (I am ready to pledge collateral)
thanks in advance.
Hey
deafheaven11,
It depends on the country you are from but usually if you go to your home country it is pretty easy to secure a loan especially if you have collateral for an amount ranging between 20% to 80% of the program tuition fee. So if you are getting a loan for the tuition fee from
prodigy finance you can definitely get a partial loan from a local bank as well.
Further if you have a very strong application HEC is known to provide scholarships, Our lot of past clients get excellent scholarships from HEC as well as LBS. So by preparing a strong application and leveraging your strengths correct that way you have the strongest chance at a scholarship.
Apart from that there are also a lot of government scholarships in these countries that can be targeted.
HEC also offers paid internships and apprenticeships which you can take up to reduce the loan exposure. This way, you can reduce the financial burden.
